Villa Palmiye... a luxury villa in Turkey
Villa Palmiye, overlooking Kalkan Bay, is a beautiful, spacious, detached villa - only 200m from the sea.
The villa has been decorated in a modern style, offering a taste of simple luxury. All bedrooms have en-suites and air conditioning, balconies or terrace.
The private pool overlooks the twinkling blue bay beyond and the large terraces have been furnished with softly cushioned sun loungers, built-in BBQ, stone-built pergola and shaded areas.
Being on the west-facing side of the bay, you can be guaranteed all day sunshine and watch the fabulous sunset.
There are three supermarkets in Kalkan, all offering a phone order and delivery service direct to the villa. Alternatively there is a small grocers just two minutes walk from the villa.
There is a weekly market, held each Thursday, in where you can buy almost anything from spices, fresh fruit and vegetables to designer labelled clothes. The town has a bank, post office, medical centres, chemist and a dentist.
The Local Area
The villa is in a peaceful area of Kalkan called Kisla - less than 5 minutes by car or taxi to the old part of town. Delightful, cobbled streets lead down to a small harbour, where you will find trendy, cocktail bars and fabulous restaurants.
Kisla has a shop, ideal for everyday essentials, just minutes from the villa. You can walk into Kalkan itself from the villa, however you will need to be fairly fit as, like the rest of Kalkan, the area is hilly. A gentle walk takes approximately 25 minutes. Taxis are plentiful and you would expect to pay around 15 lira.
There is a beach club at Villa Mahal (previously voted as having one of the best views in the world!) which is a ten minute walk from Palmiye.
